Privacy Policy

Effective October 13, 2026

Path is a planning app for premedical students, made by Noah Diner (“we”). This policy explains what the app collects, where it goes, and what you can do about it. The short version: what you enter stays on your device unless you turn on sync. We don’t sell your information, show ads, track you across other apps, or use analytics.

What you enter in the app

Path keeps the information you choose to enter, such as:

All of this is saved on your device in the app’s storage. On iPhone and Android, your sign-in is kept in the device’s secure storage.

Please don’t enter information about patients or other people’s health in your notes or reflections.

Your transcript

When you import a transcript, the PDF or CSV is read on your device. The file is never uploaded to us or anyone else. Only the course rows you choose to save become part of your data in the app.

Your account

To create an account, you give us your email address, and we email you a one-time code. Accounts are run by Supabase, which stores your email address, sign-in records (such as when you last signed in) and the date your free trial started. Sign-in codes are delivered by Resend, which receives your email address to send them.

Sync (optional)

If you turn on sync in Profile, a copy of your Path data is stored in our Supabase database so you can use it on other devices. Each copy is tied to your account and protected by database rules that let only your signed-in account read or change it. It travels over an encrypted connection, and Supabase encrypts stored data. You can turn sync off at any time; your data then stays only on your devices.

Subscriptions

Apple handles payment for the subscription; we never see your card or billing details. We use RevenueCat to confirm whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives a random account ID (not your name or email), your purchase and renewal history, and basic device details such as the app version and country.

Notifications

Reminders for deadlines, letters, MCAT scores and semester updates are scheduled on your device. Path has no push server and doesn’t send your reminders anywhere.

What we don’t do

We look at the information in your account only if you ask us for help and give permission, or if the law requires it.

Exporting and deleting your data

Deleted data may remain in our providers’ routine backups for a short time before it is overwritten. Apple and RevenueCat keep subscription records as required for billing, tax and legal reasons. You can also email us to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it.

How long we keep information

We keep your account and synced data while your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete them as described above.

Security

We use encrypted connections, per-account database rules and the device’s secure storage for sign-in. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your device locked and export a backup now and then.

Children

Path is for college students and graduates. It isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date. If the change is significant, we’ll also tell you in the app.
